Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Family Law

I have a TPO order on my husband, who is a immigrant with no green card. I am presently 16 weeks pregnant and want to know how I can get his mail to him and talk to him about getting counseling. I have talked to the legal aide of Cobb county but because he has already talked to them they were unable to help me due to conflict of interest. I have no money, no job and no transportation. The nearest bus stop is 3 miles away, so looking for work is very hard, as well as getting to my dr. appts. What can I do. I am afraid that he can file for divorce without my consent and get it. He says the baby is not his and that is why he doing this. I am in a strange town with no friends or relatives. Help!

Re: Family Law

You need to contact the Department of Family and Childrens Services (DFACS) of the county that you reside in. The agency is a resource for referrals and assistance that will hopefully assist you with obtaining medical care during your pregnancy. Also try calling (the numbers are spelled out: four zero four six one four one zero zero zero or two one one for information on available referrals related to shelter, medical care, employment, etc. Your concern for your husband is admirable; however, it may be time to invest your emotional energy in planning your future.
