Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
My family moved this past summer from Florida to Georgia. I am 17 years old and currently a junior in high school. I have lots of problems with the new high school and cant handle another year of it. I want to move back to Florida and go through my senior year at my old high school. My parents are understanding and are alright with the idea and will financially support me in Florida during my senior year if I move. I would live alone in an apartment that would be in my parents name. We have family friends in Florida that would be able to help me out in any emergency and look out for me. Simply switching schools in Georgia is not an option because no other school in the city offers the advanced program that I am in. I am wondering about the legality of this and what can be done to make this work.
The school in Florida requires that a parents or legal guardian be a resident of the county that the school is in. I am a straight A student and have no criminal record. I will be turning 18 years old in the winter of 2010.
Thank you for your help in advance.

See a Florida lawyer. You likely need to have a guardian named (in that school district).
