Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
I had a family violence TRO filed on me on the basis of a false police report. I was on a landline in a different town with my ex at the time that the event that my ex accused me of (slashing her tires) occurred. There was obviously no way for me to be in two places at once, she knew that and filed a police report anyway to get the TRO. This was in addition to clearing out my bank account and running up bills on my credit card before it was canceled.
When she lured me back over to the house when she knew I was intoxicated just so she could call the police and get me in even more trouble, a criminal trespass charge and violating family violence order charge resulted. Is there anything that I can do in order to prove that the entire mess is based on her lies? Is there anything I need to do before my court date?

Get a lawyer.
Let me repeat - get a lawyer.
The failure to do so may be a life-changing disaster. You need counsel immediately. Do not talk to anyone about the case without a lawyer.
You have what is known as a legal emergency. You could spend time in jail, have a criminal record for life, and have other unfixable consequences.
