Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I am federal employee and have been divorced for five years. I have kept our only child off and on during our divorce. To protect my interest and so that I might file taxes claiming a dependent; I requested and received temporary custody of my son. I have a court appointed document that verifies his physical presence with me. My ex-spose did not receive a copy of this document and therefore thought it right to sue me for the one year I claimed him on my taxes. She was able to do this through the state of Texas, which did not bother to research her claim. In result my wages were garnished for a year and I have received several no pay dues. My question is how do I go about recovering my lost wages, and can my ex-spouse be held accountable for her illegal actions??

Why didn't you hire a lawyer a year ago? You needed one then. Since this happened in Texas, get a lawyer there now and see if you waited too long or not.
