Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
My fiance sighed papers for adoption that had mistakes on them. She was told that they would correct the papers and bring them back for her to sign. She was also told that that was the only way they, the Grandparents could continue to look after her son. They had temporary custody already. She was incarcerated at this time and had maintained contact with her son and the grandparents thru phone calls and letters. They brought him to see her when they brought the papers for her to sign. for the first time in 3 years. Would that be enough to prove duress and by the way they changed the front page and filed the papers without her signing corrected papers

In most cases, her right to challenge an adoption ceased ten days after she signed. Although no attorney can say for certain without seeing the papers (and she needs to be seeing a lawyer within the ten day window and not having you post online instead), it is highly unlikely after those ten days that she can do anything.
