Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Me and My fiance has split up and I had already paid for everything for the wedding plus had given him money for a washer and dryer that he kept. The total cost is about $2000. I still have the engagement ring which he paid $1500 for. What do I do. Give him the ring back even though it was a gift and promise to marry me and get my money or keep the ring and get the money as well?

Typically, an engagement ring is a gift to keep (though there are circumstances where it is courtesy to give it back - such as the woman backing out). Similarly, when either or both parties spend money on a wedding, they take the risk that it will take place. That was your risk, unless had agreed to reimburse you for the expenses (which you didn't mention).

I agree with Scott. Basically everything probably stays as it is now.
