Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My ex wants to file bankruptcy on the car that was given to me in the divorce. Even though his name is on it along with mine can he legally file bankruptcy on it and have it taken away from me when I keep all the payments made on time. He was given the other vehichle of ours in our divorce. The divorce was final in Illinois, but I currently live in Georgia.

That depends on things you have not told us. What did the divorce decree say? That matters.

You should immediately retain counsel to review his filing and your status. If you are paying you may or may not be able to keep the car depending on things you did not tell us.
