Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
I filed pro se contempt charges against my ex husband because he refused to pay the alimony he agreed to pay. The contempt was ruled in my favor and he accepted the judges ruling and said he would begin making the payment on the 20th day of the month starting April 20, 2012.
He did not make any payments so I filed again to the court that he has now ignored the contempt ruling. I am fully expecting him to say he can't find a job.
Since filing, I have found ads showing that he has been selling guitars and guitar parts that he makes, selling on eBay and he apparently has been performing with his band at paying gigs (20-30) in the last two years, additionally he has posted vacation photos at the beach and he even has an ad out to buy a new car.
Meanwhile, I can't even afford to pay for my medicine and he owes me more than $60,000.00.
So, my question is, can I submit the evidence I found that proves he has been earning money the whole time?
If yes, how do I submit it to the judge?
How soon can I submit it to the judge?
Also, this is a long process and he is hard to find- what can I do to get the process moving & not have to go through the process every month he doesn't want to pay me?
I am disabled and need him to start paying me. I am pro se and so far he is, too.

With $60,000 at stake, find a collection attorney that will work for a percentage of recovery. That may work far better than contempt.
