How do i find out if my wife received a $12million malpractice settlement? She claims that we will split the money since i took care of her during herr time of illness but she recently filed for divorce and didnt mention it in the papers. she file uncontested.

Get a lawyer - and you needed him yesterday.

I repeat - you have alegal emergency and cannot afford noto hire a lawyer.

Unless you made the possibly catastrophic mistake of signing her papers, your wife filed a CONTESTED divorce. You must file your defenses, answer and counterclaim within 30 days. Even if you did sign her papers, get a lawyer, now.

It would be very easy for your lawyer to determine if a case that size had settled. Such a settlement would certainly impact your case.
