Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I have full custody of our son and his mother just got a settlement check ( so she said) because her husband was hit and killed by a drunk driver. his family started the lawsuit but she got in on it. is it to late for me to get back child support from that check?

Hard to say... the best time to act was BEFORE the check when the case began. but see a lawyer immediately as in TODAY (not tomorrow, not soon, IMMEDIATELY). You might have an ability to hit a bank account with a garnishment etc. Delay is your enemy.
