Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I want full legal custody of my three year old son his father and were never married and he has been out of my sons life since October 31, 2008. He is in mexico. I dont think hell put up a fight if I ask for full custody, however id like to know the steps i need to take if he does, and if he doesnt.

Depending on what he has or has not done legalkly to date, and you left that out, not acting may be better than acting. You haven't given us enough information to know.
