Assuming you were ordered by a court to make those payments, you will have to seek a modification in the same court. Consult with a local attorney.

The better question is what can you do to make money to take care of the child. The answer is to get a job. You won't likely get sympathy for using voluntary unemployment as an excuse to not pay for your child.

I agree with both answers.

You can attempt to file for a motion to modify. However, it is likely a judge will not show sympathy for someone who voluntary decides to become unemployed. The judge may maintain the order, which will force you to go part-time to take care of your child. After all, the child cannot wait to be fed, housed, and clothed.
