Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Georgia Child Support

I have a support agreement that was drafted in July of '05 and filled by the clerk of the court in Nov of the same year. Since that time the support guidlines have changed in Georgia.

Is it possible for me to get my order modified?

I am also interested in seeking custody of the children. My basis for this would be change in circumstance - ie... an unstable environment for the children. Example - Ex out of work from August of '06 to May of '07, Ex having moved 4 times and is currently living in her parents basement. Kids have been in 3 schools since our split in '05 and will be attending a 4th in the '07/'08 school year. Oldest child 16 was supposed to be homeschooled but the count has had no record of her registered since the split.

I am looking for a lawyer who might be interested in helping. I am interested in a flat fee as opposed to an hourly rate arrangement.

The childrens stability and well being is my main concern and I believe I can provide better conditions for them.

Thanks

Re: Georgia Child Support

I'd need detailed financial and other information to evaluate your case.

I do handle some such cases for flat fees.

Call my office for an appointment if the mother lives in the metro Atlanta area.
