Georgia Child Support

My husband has two children from a former marriage he owes back childsupport. He was injured and unable to work and is currently seeking disability the ex has went thru state child support they are working with us (put a lien on disability). Now she has hired a private child support collection service they claim they can garnish my wages. Is this true do I now owe child support for children that are not mine? Can they sue us with him having a disability claim pending? I really need some advise. The children are 8 & 9 and both are begging to come live with us. I cant afford an attorney is there help out there for me?

Call the GA Legal Services office in your area. If you meet the income requirments they will help you out. E-mail me your county and I will send you the phone number of the office in your area.
