Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
my ex girlfriend took out a TPO on me with bogus lies. after she did this, I found out she had forged some checks of mine, I filed charges against her. She then filed a warrant against me using the same lies from the TPO but added more lies to it. We went to court on the TPO, I could not afford a lawyer, the judge looked over the paperwork, read out loud the terms of the conditions to stay away from her, asked me if I understood and I said yes, he granted the TPO. He never asked me if the charges were true or not or anything of that nature, now I have the warrant hearing to go to. Will this affect my case? On the warrant hearing she stated that my 5 yr old son was present (she is not his mother and I have full legal) and that I cussed him. He wasn't even there, he was at my mom's and the time that she put, I had two friends over. I just don't know what to do or what to expect.

You made one gargantuan mistake in not hiring a lawyer for a TPO. An even bigger mistake is facing a criminal case without a lawyer.
What should you expect? Without a lawyer, expect the worst. You needed counsel already. You need counsel now.
