Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

grand parent rights

if our son is in prison do we have any rights to his child.

his wife is living with another man and will not let us see our grand baby.. is there anything that we can do? we have not been ugly or mistreated her in any way. we understand that she wants to move on with her life and that is fine with us.. we just want to see our grandchild. we used to get him every week end. but now she will hardly let us see him at all. can we intervine on our sons behalf and get his visitation?

Re: grand parent rights

In Georgia grandparents can get visitation rights. Contact a local family law attorney.

Re: grand parent rights

Grandparents may request that the court grant them visitation rights and even custody in certain situations, but without using the courts, grandparents have no official visitation rights.
