There was a will but nothing has been put into probate. she says she was given eveything. What can I do ? You must remember that a power of attorney expires upon the death of the person granting it.

Your first order of business is to consult with a local attorney. If you would like to discuss, feel free to give me a call. It appears that the caregiver may have taken unfair advantage of your grandmother. If that is the case, she can be held responsible.

I concur. You should contact an attorney with experience in probate / estate planning matters.
