Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Grandmother's rights for child support for grandchildren

Am I required to divulge my earnings and financial information to request an increase in child support for my 2 grandchildren from their father who lives in Georgia (the children reside with me in FL)and now pays $100.00 per month for the 2 children? He has been paying the same amount for approximately 7 years. The children are now 12 and 14. I have had legal custody since the children were 2 and 4.

In Georgia, both parties are required to divulge their financial interests on a modification order. You should not have any trouble receiving the modification. Obviously, $100.00 is not enough to support two teenage children. If the father can pay more, he will be required to do so.
