Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Grandson

I have my grandson. He basiclly lives me anyway. My daughter and her boyfriend basically live in a motel. They went Louisiana for his mothers funeral and were suppossed to return home yesterday so she can work has not returned and did not tell me. ( He does not work.) Is the abandonment? And what can I do?

I do not believe that their not coming home yesterday would support a claim of abandonment. You have the ability to petition a court for custody of him.

Leaving him one day would not be viewed as abandonment. If you add all the issues together, you may have a case to obtain custody.
