Annulments in Georgia are VERY rare.

The terms under which one can obtain an annulment are:

The two spouses are related (such as a brother and sister)

At least one person did not have the mental ability to enter into the marriage (this is a very difficult standard to prove)

One spouse was forced into the marriage (essentially this means someone held a gun to your head or held a loved one hostage, etc).

One party was fraudulently misled into the marriage (most deceptions will NOT fit this standard - it's got to be pretty major).

One party was already married to another individual when entering into the marriage (bigamy).

Even if any or all of the conditions above exist, if a child was conceived during the marriage, then there cannot be an annulment.

Great answer by Mr. Ashman. Classic annulment is when the parties are drunk out of their mind and get married. What are the odds?
