held in jail without bond being set

my boyfriend was arrested and detained in the adult detention center for non-payment of chld support. He was month late f0r one of his children. He pays $1000 per month for two girls. We have not been able to get a court date set, a bond, or any relief so he can work and pay the child. they want the whole 11,863 and nnot just the payments he is behind. what do i need to do?

It sounds like the judge is holding him in civil contempt and the only way he can purge or get out of the contempt is to pay all arrearages in full. I would suggest you contact an attorney.
