Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Hidden assets follow up question. Thank you for your prompt reply. Let me clarify. I cannot and could not get bank records as this was an investment account like Edward Jones or similar but not something I had my name on nor ever had access to. The three years will expire on June 26th when the decree was filed.. (I should have been more clear on the exact date) I was never able to obtain many documents because he never had my name added and would never allow me access to those things. The attorney that closed my divorce is not the attorney that started it so we had little time together and I am not an attorney and my first attorney was paid quite well to make sure all documents were obtained, I don't believe it is my complete fault when 1- I hire a professional to do a job and 2- I am not an attorney and do not propose to know what to do during a divorce or what I can and cannot do and obtain. Thank you

Again, without reviewing all of the paperwork and court documents, I cannot give you a competent response and would not want to take a wild guess
You need to hire an attorney ASAP.

The discovery process requires the opposing party to provide all requested documents. A third party request could have also been sent to the investment company. In any event, I again suggest you speak with a family law attorney. If the 3 years runs on June 26th, you need to get something filed and you cannot file it on your own. I cannot predict how a Judge would look at the fact that you entered into an agreement without documentation. Speak to an attorney.
