Housing a teen that is not related

How can I find out if a teen has been emancipated? If he has not been emancipted and I continue to house him, what type of legal issues can this raise? His parents don't care, both are substance abusers and all he wants is to do is finish school, and get a job.

If he has been emancipated, he has a copy of the court order or can go there and get it. Unless he has that, you could jump into many legal problems.
