Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
soon to be EX husband is in canton jail. his first court date is June 30th. He's charged with "discharging a fire arm while intoxicated" "child cruelty" and "assault and battery".
Me= the victim, cant afford legal help.
Him=the criminal, gets a free public defender.
My question is, How long (most likely) will he get locked up for? If by some miracle, I do get help, Can I charge him with attempted murder because he choked me and the cops took pictures of my neck with the bruise he left?
Also, can I get full custody of my daughter because of this? Does he have a fighting chance of fighting me on this when we divorce?
