Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My husband sent divorce papers but it's obvious lies

The papers served to me state that my husband has custody of our kids when in fact they live with me. We don't even know where he's been staying since he abandoned us last year. Is he trying to get custody by hoping for a default judgement since I'm representing myself? There are other obvious lies in his petition, like number of times he's been married, our wedding date etc. I know that he's a skilled liar but do you think his lawyer would willingly help him with lies that are very easy to disprove?

He fathered a child outside our marriage which I've known about for years, can I still charge him with adultery. The kicker..he wasn't divorced when we married, a no-fault final divorce decree was mailed to our home a year after we married. We were ''married'' for 12 years, have 2 daughters, ages 11 and 8. I can't afford a lawyer, so I filed my answer pro se? What should I do next?

Consult with a local attorney. It is not unusual for the filing party to misrepresent facts. However, a good lawyer can handle this and may even be able to turn it to your advantage.
