Since you're in a contested divorce, ane worse yet a rare one headed to a jury, and worse yet, facing a trial attorney on the other side, obviously, unless you really want a catastrophe in court, you knew long ago to hire an attorney and did so. You should be discussing this with your lawyer. There are many valid reasons for continuances and obviously your lawyer has seen the request and the grounds, and you chose to bypass him, post here and not even tell us the grounds, meaning that no one here can make even a wild guess. Call your attorney and ask if there are grounds to oppose the motion.
