You have not stated WHY you think your husband will want you to pay for his attorney!?!? There are VERY few reasons why a court would order you to pay your husband's court costs. For instance, if you are the primary bread winner in the family (you got to work and earn money and he stays home and raises the kids/tends to the house), then he may be able to force you to pay for the attorney. If it's the other way around, it is your HUSBAND who may have to pay for your attorney. DON'T LET HIM INTIMIDATE YOU! You will likely NOT be stuck having to pay them. Your name will NOT be automatically changed to your maiden name -- if you want your maiden name back, you need to ask the judge to include it in the divorce decree/order. MOST IMPORTANTLY -- HIRE YOUR OWN FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY.

Best of luck.*****The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******

You need a lawyer. Not getting a lawyer can be a very expensive mistake (especially where you think he may seek some relief from you).

Your name will NOT be changed unless you make a proper request filed with the court.
