Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My husband and are still married. I am in the process of serving him papers. Am I allowed to stay at a friend's house with my children if my husband is emotionally abusive? I don't care about keeping our house. I just want to not be harrased or have my kids see it.

Yes, but your question reveals you have a bigger problem. A contested divorce with children is simply not a do it yourself project. You need an attorney.

You can stay anywhere you want as long as you don't make the kids totally unavailable to him for reasonably safe visits.
