Hi, My husband and I have separated. He has not resided in the home for one month. Is it legal for me to change the door locks?

As a general rule, judges dislike self-help. I would not change the locks unless an attorney so advises, as he still has the right to enter the home.

If there is domestic violence, you can seek a TPO and ask for permission to change the locks.

If there will be a divorce, that is something to resolve in the divorce.
