Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
My husband and I have been staying at his Grandparents house for the past few months. I have recently Moved into my friends house with my 2 children. My husbands Grandmother bad mouths me to my 6 yr old child and keeps telling me she will take the kids from me if i was to leave. Can she do anything? and Can they file for a child abduction even though i have never had my rights taken away?

Your Grandma can file anything she wants. Whether she wins or not is a different story. If you would like to put your mind at ease, ask a lawyer for a 1 hour consult. Be prepared to pay for that time, and let the lawyer explain the law in Georgia to you. That way you'll be educated next time Granny makes foolish threats.
Good luck!
The issue of custody is between you and your husband, not his grandparents. I would schedule a time to consult with a family law attorney. I, quite frankly, would cease interacting with the grandparents. Hopefully your husband will understand it is not in the children's best interest for his grandmother to be bad mouthing you. He should man up and put a stop to it.
