Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

insurance

My wife and I are seperated and she filed for divorce and served papers to my lawyer. They won't answer any proposed settlement and have not tryed for a court date. My lawyer said I have to keep insurance on her until this is over. Why when she works and makes 1600 a mounth more than I do and could get her own insurance thru her work at the hospital. also is there any way they can be forced not to drag this out. There is no children only house and time share to settle. Thanks.

Re: insurance

You already have a lawyer and should be asking him these questions. Since he has your file and information and we do not, no one online could give you an answer better than your own lawyer.

Re: insurance

You should be demanding answers from your own lawyer. You don't have to wait for the other side to get a court date; your lawyer can simply notify the clerk to set the case for a hearing.
