Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

interstate child support

My husband and his exwife were divorced in New Mexico. She lives in Georgia with the child,we live in Virginia. My husband pays his child support as per the decree in New Mexico. How will the child support be readjusted if the ex wants to modify child support and does the state of Georgia have jurisdiction over and my husband in child support matters. She is trying to increase her child support payments before the new laws go into effect Jan 1 2007. What are our options and can we delay this until after the first of the new year.
