Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
I was involved with a woman who eventually became the mother of my child. We are not together and try to share responsibilty. She has gotten a dui and has had her wages garnished by a previous spouse, before me, and is telling me its not fair that I need to give her every other weekend off to work or else. The cost of her dui with the combination of her wage garishment, 236 a month, is according to her, "causing her to struggle." I have told her that I am willing to give her every third weekend of the month to try and help her out and then slowly over time through budgetting I can be in spot where not working on the weekends isn't a big deal. I feel that she is in this spot because of her own actions and I shouldn't have to pay the price. What are my options?

You have a legal duty to pay reasonable child support. If you have disagreements, your best option may be to seek counsel and establish an amount.
