If I have joint custody with x husband. Am able to give our 11 year old child medicine without his approval?

No one here can answer you because none of us have read either your divorce decree, separation agreement or parenting plan. The answer may be yes or no. The answer should be pretty clearly stated in your paperwork if your lawyer did his job properly. If he did not, call the lawyer you paid to represent you in your case and ask him.
