late child support payment

i got behind on child support payments back in november, i informed my ex my payments were going to be late, dec ember was also late, but by the end of january all payments were caught up to date , he filed contempt charges in december, but all payments are current and on time, what can i do?

Re: late child support payment

If you go to court. Explain the situation to the judge. Show the judge that your payments were late for a good reason and that you attempted to explain this to your ex. If the judge finds you credible it is not likely he or she would hold you in contempt.

If you do not feel that you can do this on your own without getting emotional then hire an attorney. I or another attorney that post here would be happy to help you for a fee.
