Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Can I get legal custody of an 11 month old baby who I've been caring for and supporting financially for her entire life? Her parents visit the child but never financially support or care for the baby. The baby is my legal granddaughter and her mother is my daughter. What legal recourse do I have? And what steps do I need to take? We live in Southeast Georgia.

If the parents will consent adoption will likely be the answer. See a local adoption attorney. Anything else would be temporary and changeable.
