Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Is it legal to leave the state of Georgia with your children with the intention of ultimately getting divorced (other parent is an addict and I am attempting to get family support from my parents in TX)?

Absent a court order, no, but Georgia will retain court jurisdiction for at least six months.
