Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Is it legal to tape a conversation with my child?

I am taping conversations with my

child on the hour drive from his

dad's. He always has so much to say

that I can't remember it all unless I

record it. We are in a custody battle.

Can I use these recordings to prove

to the Guardian at Litem that his dad

is really saying the damaging things

to our child (that he says he is

making up)? Can they be used in a

divorce trial?

If you are in a "battle" and trial, you need a lawyer so ask him/her your questions. Whether you can legally do it, and whether it is a good idea, are two different questions. The effect such taping may have on your relationship with your child is another.
