Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Legimation of daughter

My daughters mother and I are not married, however we have lived together for the past 4 years, my daughter is 3. She has left and taken my daughter with her, we both signed the birth certificate and she carries my last name. What are my rights. She says if I never legimated her I have no rights to her. What do I do?

Re: Legimation of daughter

Until and unless a court legitimates the child, she has sole custody (although you must support the child). You need to retain a lawyer as soon as possible should you want visitation or custodial rights.
