Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

legitimation concerns

I have recently married the mother of my daughter and am concerned about legitimating. We were never able to file for legitimation prior to our marriage. Does legitimation still need to be filed or does our recent marriage take care of the legitimation. I am listed as the father on the birth certificate.

Re: legitimation concerns

Marriage legitimates the child in this situation. (If the child does not yet have the father's last name, and that remains to be done, a name change can still be filed).
