Legitmation and Custody

my husband has filed for legitimation and custody of his 4 year old son at the request of his ex girlfriends parents. she was served the papers but has not yet responded. what happens next if she doesn't respond within the 30 days?

What happens next depends on facts you didn't post as well as what county the case is in. Since legitimization is not a do-it-yourself project, hoipefully he has a lawyer, and his lawyer will be able to answer the question.
