Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

life insurance in decree..can we change?!

My husbands ex manipulated him 4 years ago (he didn--name removed--get attorney because he thought he didn--name removed--need one)she had it is worded in the decree that my husband has to PAY his (now)ex in order for her to pay HIS life insurance policy for his daughter and name HER as the trustee. If we pay to go back to court, can he change the amount, the trustee to his brother and pay his own bill?! Thank you!

Property settlements cannot be modified in Georgia. Only support, some alimony and custody/visitation issues are modifiable. Unless the insurance was worded as a form of support, it probably isn't modifiable, but a lawyer would have to read it to be sure.
