Is life insurance considered an inheritance (if you are a beneficiary) in the State of Georgia

No. Life insurance proceeds are paid by the insurance company pursuant to a contract (i.e., the policy). They do not flow through the estate and, therefore, are not inheritance. Consult with a local attorney to review the policy.
