Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I live in Baker county, in Florida. My oldest daughtr lives in Kingsland Georgia. She has been cutting herself and does not think she needs help. Also she has two small boys at home and her soon to be exhusband is afraid that she will hurt herself or the boys. What can I do to have her Baker Acted. My son-in-law said that her mother has to do it and that he could not. Why is this?

There is no Baker Act in Georgia. It is a Florida statute. Hence you cannot use it in Georgia.
