Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I live in Fl and my ex in GA. He has custody of daughter. His new wife is trying to terminate my parental rights to adopt her. They filed in GA and I live in Fl. Don't they have to file where I live?

Not for adoption. Adoptions are filed where the adoptive parent is.

Note that the time deadlines are very short should you object, and that if you have not been paying support or seeing the child you will face additional difficulties.
