Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I live in GA. My 13-1/2 yr. old Granddaughter has lived in OK since 8-06 with her mother. We are paternal grandparents. My son has not been exercising his rights. His rights have never been terminated. My former daughter-in-law is now refusing to let us (grandparents) visit with and communicate with our Granddaughter. At what age can she exert some rights of her own? What are her rights? Eventhough I know from a sneaked phone call that she is very upset about this, I have reason to believe that her mother is poisoning her mind against me and her Granddaddy. I fear that waiting until she is 18 will not only miss out on her childhood but cause an alienation that we will never recover from, Any advice would be appreciated. Janice
