Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I live with my ex husband, we are divorced but still live together. We only lived apart for one year. His name only is on the mortgage even though I help pay the bills. If something happened to him, how do I ensure that I am able to keep the house? He has grown children by previous marriage.

You fail to tell us who is on the title, which is obviously an important detail. If you want to keep the house if something happens to him, the house is in his name only, and he wants the same thing, he will do a will. If he does not want to do that, then roommates don't generally have any interest or rights at all in the house.
