How long does it take to get a divorce by publication in Georgia? How soon is the divorce granted after the publication has run for 60 days?

The answer will vary by county, and within county by judge. The earliest it can be done is about 90 days from filing to final decree, as the case must be filed, publication must be ordered, the ad must start and then the ad has to run 30 days (with a 60 day period to answer). It will usually take far longer without an attorney than with one, as attorneys know how to deal with the differences in judges and courts (and get teh paperwork right).
