How long can a ex-husband hold a medical bill, that he paid and did let me know, and then demand payment for half?

Since we don't know whose bill it is, what the legal basis is for asking for payment (for example, is this something ordered ina divorce), and what that underlying paperwork says, there's no way to answer you.
