Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I am married since June 2015 but will be filing for divorce soon. I bought a car in March 2015 before we married with my income taxes I recieved from working. My husband and I decided to seperate but him and my mother got into an argument while I was telling him to get into the car and I would take him where he needed to go. Instead he jumps in my car drunk with noi license drives off totals my car and left the scene of the accident. I called the police and they said they were going to take out a warrent for d.u.I. driving no license and leaving the scene of an accident. My question is I paid $4,800. For the car before we were married and its now totaled I only had liability. Is there anything I can do as far as taking him to court to pay me back for the car?

No (Georgia law forbids such suits). The ONLY way you can address it is to get a lawyer, file a divorce, and see if the divorce judge factors this incident into the outcome.
